学校概述：

    杜伦大学成立于1832年，是在英国排名第三的最古老的大学。位于杜伦市区以及斯托克顿附近的一个小城镇里。 杜伦大学是一所由12个学院和2个社团组成的联合大学。该大学在杜伦拥有14个校园（考林伍德学院、格瑞学院、海菲尔德学院、圣-爱丹学院、圣-查德学院、圣-卡斯勃特社团、圣-圣尔德和圣-贝德大学、圣-约翰学院、圣-玛丽学院、采维利安学院、大学学院、万米尔德特学院、斯托克顿学院），各校园之间相距仅有数-步之遥。杜伦大学的各学术系负责开展学术与研究活动，这些系与住宿学院各成一体。在校的本科生有 7，800人。研究生院有1，000多名全日制、1，500多名兼职研究生，900多名留学生，在该学校毕业的学生有 94％的能完成学位。这一比率在英国高校中居第二位，比英国高校平均完成率高7％。获得学位的学生有93％的学生获得一级或二级的学位。杜伦大学2／3以上的学系在2008年的研究评比中获得了4分、5分的好成绩。

图书馆及计算机资源：
